OT: Vacation Photos

I have been so dang busy since I got back from vacation!  I’m glad to finally have the time to share my vacation photos with you.  To entice you to go look at them, here’s one of The Bellagio’s famous fountain show of the Las Vegas strip at night.

Isn’t that pretty?  Want to see more

Oi! Where have I been?

I know, I haven’t posted here in over a week, but I don’t really like to post online when I’m on vacation, but I’m back now!

I was out with a group of awesome friends in Las Vegas.  We had a GREAT time!  I only took one ball of yarn along and used the entire thing, making a scarf and a half.  It kept me happy in our downtime out there.

We spent a lot of time hanging out, both inside and at the pool that was out back of the house we were all renting.  At night we ate, drank, and saw the sights.  Some of us went hiking, too.

I will be posting links to more photos here eventually, but here are two for fun.

Vacation Wrap-up

Well, the DH and I got home on Saturday afternoon and had a very nice vacation.  He even tolerated going to a yarn store with me!  More on that later this week, though.

Besides visiting this lovely lighthouse, which is Currituck Sound Lighthouse, by the way, we spent time out and about on the beach, shopping, and relaxing.  I even had a good afternoon to fly my beginner stunt kite.  And I took lots of pictures.  Lots.  And I knit a lot, too.

I also realized last week that my two-year knit-aversary passed me by.  Wow!  I’ve come a long way!

Keep an eye out here for more adventures from vacation in the Outer Banks.

OT: My Hair. It is blue.

Yes, I got blue hues in my hair!  My bright blonde highlights are now darkish blue and the rest of my hair is blue black.  It’s not permanent, but my birthday is soon, I’m going on vacation, and I felt like stepping out.  Even at 34, I still will manage to freak out my mother.

Just because I’m leaving for the Outer Banks tomorrow doesn’t mean I’ll be absent from here.  I believe we have WiFi down there and the DH and I will be taking laptops.  And I’ll be taking along plenty of knitting supplies and plan on going to Knitting Addiction, a yarn shop in Kill Devil Hill, NC, for an afternoon, just to get away from the family for a little bit.  I am excited!  And I haven’t even started packing!
